Eisenmann's inverted electrified monorail - high throughput in confined spaces

Böblingen (Germany), January 17, 2017– Eisenmann will present a new version of its inverted electrified monorail at this year’s LogiMAT trade show in Stuttgart. The production-systems specialist will be exhibiting at booth IC67 in hall 1. The key features of the improved conveyor are more compact design and even higher throughput in confined spaces.

The monorail’s extremely high torsional rigidity enables very tight cornering, with a radius of just 1,000 mm, enabling flexible and compact track layouts. This makes it ideal for existing factory environments. Furthermore, minimal distances are needed between the new, smaller trolleys. This leads to faster transfers and correspondingly higher throughput in confined areas. The system can accelerate at up to one meter per second, with a maximum speed of three meters per second.

Skidless, flexible and smart

Eisenmann’s VarioLoc is a modular conveyor system that enables skidless paint-shop operation.

Today’s automotive production plants must be flexible in all respects. That includes painting – a core manufacturing process – and the equipment that conveys vehicle bodies along the painting line. “This gave us the idea of the skidless paint shop, which received a very positive response from our customers. We have already followed through by developing VarioLoc,” explains Jörg Robbin, Vice President with responsibility for product development at Eisenmann’s Automotive Systems business unit.

OLIVER safeguards operations against voltage dips and surges

Brief voltage sags caused by lightning strikes are a frequent occurrence in summer months. However, these fluctuations can jeopardize critical industrial processes – a sag lasting mere milliseconds can lead to unplanned downtime and financial losses. Consequently, a reliable supply of electricity with the correct, consistent voltage is vital to ensuring high availability and seamless business operations. Against this background, Eisenmann Thermal Solutions’ OLIVER (Online Voltage Regulation) system rapidly corrects voltage fluctuations of up to 40 percent. Moreover, it protects sensitive power-supply components, which may enter an undefined state if voltage decreases by more than 10 percent. In addition, OLIVER can be easily integrated into a broad variety of industrial environments.
